Hello, World!

Hello, internet, and welcome to my blog. This blog documents The Sky Project, an individual (for now) attempt to populate my Minecraft world with towering structures and daunting builds. As of now, the project is in it's infancy, but I hope to progress quickly! Planet Minecraft page: here

Farms Part 2, Redstone Shenanigans, and an update on WHY I've been so tardy.

Okay, so let me explain why I haven't posted in a few weeks.
First of all, I was fooling around way too much with redstone, and it got overcomplicated. I ended up making two different types of memory cells-a piston based memory cell and a non resettable constant doohicky that isn't very good, but it does have two outputs per switch. So.
After those shenanigans, I got involved in a custom map making process. The map is called the Atlantis Crisis, and it's in a post apocalyptic underground bunker where me and the other great people I'm working with are generally being assholes to the player =P SMP is highly recommended!
Not that it's coming out any time soon, because I haven't worked on it lately for lack of good internets. Plus, not only do we have to add WAY more parkour and puzzles, but we also re-wrote the entire story line. Meh.
Anyway, on to our feature: an automatic melon farm! I've decided NOT to do a pumpkin farm, because they work the same way and I don't feel like it. I'll probably make an 8-bit flag for Castle Sky or something.
Anyway, here are the pics:

The last one is the 5 minute timer.
Next up, some of the redstone stuff:

Lastly, as of recently I've begun a solo expedition: a custom map of my own, called the Path of Pan, telling the story of Peter Pan and the King of Crickets...
Anyway, here are some dramatic pics
SPOILERS!!!! If you're at all interested in playing this map, this bit has some spoilers from the intro

LATE!!!

Hey, I'm sorry I haven't been posting lately, I've been a bit caught up with school and another project...
Don't worry, I'll reveal everything tommorow! I just forgot to take a bunch of screenshots.
Until then, I'll leave you with the one screenshot I DID take:
A cute little texture glitch :)

Kitchen! And meal delivery system.

Okay, so first off, DON'T try this at home, it took me over half an hour just for the rails. Anyway, I hope you like it. The little spaces at the end are where the minecart w/ chest goes with the food, flick the switch and the carts go to the holes. Enjoy!

Dragon's Hallow and the Hallowed Hall

Okay, so, here's my royal hall kind of build. It's not finished yet, the only part that's done is the Hallowed Hall (The council room) and the Nether Brick Road (We're off to see the wizard...)
Okay, so the theme is sort of dragon-lord-ish. The Hall will be occupied by the 6 Dragonlords and they are presided over by the Wizard King, Dragmar. (Maybe I'll put it on a server and make it an RP?)
Anyway, here are the pics:

Download! V1 for 1.1

This is just a REALLY quick update with the download link.
Enjoy!

Castle Sky Market

Okay, our first featured addition to Castle Sky: the Marketplace!
I've been holding this one off, but I said on www.planetminecraft.com (Click here to see it!) that I'd both extend the castle walls and build a market, so I've done both! Also, I'll be updating the project on Planet Minecraft so check there for a list of what I'm planning to post.
This fully inhabited marketplace has a design that I personally have never seen before, so enjoy!

Castle Sky

I'd like to now move on to the probable highlight in times to come: Castle Sky.
This immense fortress which inspired the project is still growing, and I hope to turn it into a self-sustaining community, which can then be downloaded or put on a server.
For now, though, I'd just like to show you the Castle in it's current state, for future reference and for the sheer majesty. While not as big as some other builds, I hope to expand it immensely.

Hello, World!

Hello, internet. I've been playing Minecraft for a while now, and I'd like to share some of my creations.
Most of my smaller builds take between 10 and 30 minutes, whereas my current large-scale project, Castle Sky (Which doesn't float, BTW), has taken several hours of building. The world I generally build in began as a legitimate world, and after building about 50 stacks worth of cobble castle I decided to take it up a notch, and installed TMI. I started work on a new castle and a roman legionary camp, and then I experimented quite a bit with redstone. But eventually I came back to Castle Sky and expanded it greatly, starting to build a small village around it. I'm still working on it, but now I'd like to share some of my creations with you.
This first build is a tower constructed in about ten or fifteen minutes. The pattern is slightly based off another tower, one from a music video. This here is just a brief example of my ablilities, and I look forward to showing much more in the future.
